Where did this year go?! I mean it feels like it just started and now I’m sitting here planning out my posts for the end of year. It’s just crazy with a capital K!
I don’t know about you lot but I’ve read some amazing books this year. I decided to sit down and try and weed out my top 16 for you all. This is going to be hard for me because I’ve read some kick ass books. In fact I think this is the first year I’ve read so many brilliant books and found some really great new authors. This is also my first end of year review as a book blogger and with Real Tasty Pages. I’m excited about this and a little nervous. I mean how am I only going to pick 16? That’s so little for the amount of great books I’ve read this year.
Also this year has brought me into a world of book bloggers and the craziness of it all. I have to say I’ve loved every minute of it and I’ve loved meeting some many cool chicks on all of my Facebook Groups! Your all mad but I love you! I’ve also dived into the world of Irish bloggers and I’ve meet some really great fellow bloggers and become great friends.
So on that note don’t be afraid to comment with your favourites I always love hearing what other people are reading. This is how I’ve come across some of my favourite authors in the past. Continue reading
Twas a great book for books for me this month! Even though i had so much going on Family wise I got some great reads in. Some of the book I’ve read have been brilliant 5 star reads. i read a lot more this month then normal and I think it was because my laptop broke and I couldn’t stream my TV programs. I have my reviews linked below. What have you read this month? Have I missed any good ones? Let me know in the comments.
They’ve spent their lives pushing each other away, but what will happen when they need each other most?
Anita Martin doesn’t expect much from life. Growing up on the street, bouncing from one foster home to another, she learned to rely only on herself. Even after she finally found a loving family to take her in, she was still an outsider-something Abraham, one of the family’s older sons, never let her forget.
Abraham Evans doesn’t know how Ani always manages to get under his skin, only that’s she’s been doing it since they were teens. She is-and always has been-undeniably gorgeous. But he’s never met anyone as pissed off at the world as Ani.
For fifteen years, Ani and Bram have agreed on exactly one thing: they can’t stand each other-until one night when their anger gives way to passion. Yet even as Ani and Bram begin to secretly seek comfort in one another’s arms, they remain emotionally worlds apart. When Ani’s life takes a dramatic turn and she realizes she needs more than Bram can give, their fragile, no-strings relationship unravels. One way or another, Ani is determined to survive. But when Bram finally admits his true feelings, he may discover Ani has moved on without him..

After reading Unbreak My Heart earlier this year, I knew I needed Bram and Anita’s. This series just keeps getting better and better. Nicole Jacquelyn has never done any wrong in my eyes I love her books and this one was no different.
This book pulled me in from the first chapter I couldn’t put it down. It was such an emotional roller coaster and it had me bawling like a baby through most of it. But this didn’t stop me totally devouring it totally and not putting it down until I had it finished!
This series is a must read and I’m looking forward to reading more books in this series.
“You’re such a fucking pain in the ass,” Bram gasped, pressing against me as he kissed me hard. “Maybe if I just kept your mouth occupied…”
Nicole Jacquelyn is the mom of two little girls and a full time college student. She hasn’t watched television in well over a year, she still does things that drive her mother crazy, and she loves to read. At eight years old, when asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, she told people she wanted to be a mom. When she was twelve her answer changed- to author. By the time she was eighteen, when people asked her what she wanted to do with her life, she told them she really wanted to be a writer- but the odds of that happening were so slim that she’d get her business degree “just to be safe”. Her dreams stayed constant. First she became a mom, then she went to college, and during her senior year- with one daughter in first grade and the other in preschool, she sat down and wrote a story.
I had so much going on this month Personal wise. My mam was rushed to hospital and had emergency surgery and my father in law had a stroke. We spent most of the month working or in hospitals. It was tough going. But I managed to read 9 books and for me that’s right on track for the month. Also on another good note I was shortlisted for the Littlewoods Ireland Blog Awards 2016. This made me so happy. I’m blogging for about 8 months now. So this was great for me to get this far. I unfortunately wasn’t a finalist. But there’s always next year!

Tommy Hawthorne thought Heather Collins was sexy. It didn’t matter what color her hair was or how many piercings she added to her face. She just did it for him.
Unfortunately, when they were kids she only had eyes for his baby brother, and when Mick died, Tommy lost all contact with Heather.
A few years later, they’re thrown together when the Aces and Eights Motorcycle Club goes on lockdown.
Tommy isn’t the cocky boy Heather remembered. He’s angry with the world, and he can’t seem to harness his rage or the nightmares that wake him up in a cold sweat every night.
But one thing hasn’t changed.
He still wants Heather.
5 biker Stars on Goodreads, Read from August 08 to 10, 2016
Another great installment from Nicole Jacquelyn. She can do no wrong. If your into Mc and haven’t picked up one of her books yet, you’d do right by picking them up.
Craving Hawk has, drama, romance, and a shit load bikers that only the Aces’ Sons can give.
As always I love that the original members still get a look in and I can’t wait for the next in the series.
One thing I’m so proud of is that myself and my husband have been marries 8 months and we’ve been having a brilliant time. The last 8 months has been so happy and jam packed full of exciting things.
I’ve seen a good load of my fellow bloggers do mid year reviews and I just thought it was a great idea to see where we’re at half way through the year. I’m new at the book blogger thing and I’m just getting used to all of this. I’m on wordpress since the end of March and I was very nervous about the changeover. I’d previously had a blog on Blogger for beauty and food with some books thrown in and the start of this year I thought to myself its time to get into a book blog as I read so much and because I work in libraries I was getting a good few Arcs and I thought I needed to share with people my thoughts. I know there’s people out there that judge what type of books you read. They judge what type of person you are from what you read and that put me off this blog for awhile. Then I thought to myself why let small minded people like that get to me! I’ve been full throttle and I’m proud of myself how far I’ve come in such a short time!
So Far in 2016 I’ve read 58 books, Which total at 11304 Pages. My challenge on Goodreads this year is to read 80 books. I know that I’ll read more then that at this stage of the game. Last year I read 97 books.
So Far from March 23rd to July 6th 2016
