Hosed is the first book in the Happy Cat series by Pippa Grant & Lili Valente. I’m not sure why I haven’t read this series by now but I sat down over Christmas and got stuck in. It’s one of those books that you read when you want something light and funny and not too taxing on the brain.

“What does that mean?” I ask. “The bee’s knees.” “Fantastic. Excellent. The very best.” I pause with my hand on the screen door. She looks up to find me staring and I smile. “I think you’re the bee’s knees, Cassandra Sunderwell.”

This was a story about a firefighter, a video programmer helping her sister out in her sex toy factory and a pet raccoon, named George Cooney. George the trashcan raccoon steals the show at times and makes laugh out loud moments throughout.

Hosed is a sweet and fun rom-com read, I have read everything by Pippa Grant and love her books so much and after reading Hosed I’ll have to get stuck into some of Lili Valente’s books now as well! Highly recommend!
