Long Shot

(Hoops #1)

by Kennedy Ryan

A Standalone FORBIDDEN LOVE SET IN THE EXPLOSIVE WORLD OF THE NBA…

Think you know what it’s like being a baller’s girl?
You don’t.
My fairy tale is upside down.
A happily never after.
I kissed the prince and he turned into a fraud.
I was a fool, and his love – fool’s gold.

Now there’s a new player in the game, August West.
One of the NBA’s brightest stars.
Fine. Forbidden.
He wants me. I want him.
But my past, my fraudulent prince, just won’t let me go.

Review:

3 Hoop Stars

Long shot is the first book in the Hoops Series by Kenndy Ryan.

Where do I start, I think the drama in this book was a little much. I think the main leading lady was a pain and really could have made life a lot easier for herself/ I thought this was supposed to be a love story but it was not, it was a bore  story. It was slow paced at best and the leading guy was so not likeable. I rarely give bad reviews because I go for authors I love but this time I just couldn’t do that. I also know authors put their time and love into their stories to be honest it didn’t feel like that in this story and it disappointed me royally!

“But the girl I met in that bar didn’t want to be taken care of. I’d do everything in my power to help you follow your dreams so you could take care of yourself. And then we’d both know you were with me because you wanted to be, not because you had no other choice.”
