I read 100 of 80 books in 2017. When I looked at this number my first thought had been disappointment. I was disappointed that I didn’t get as much as I had read last year which was 120 books. I quickly gave myself a talking to and realised I did great and that after the year I’ve had 100 books is brilliant. Sometimes we can get something stuck in our heads and give ourselves such a hard time over it. This is so not good. I did great this year. Here’s to 2018 no matter how many books I read!
What was your favourite read of 2018? Did you read any of the books I did and what did you think of them?

I made it to my goal of 110 about 3 hours before midnight on New Year’s Eve. The year before I read 120, but somehow that 110 was a battle to the end. It was just one of those years where there was so much going on, I couldn’t juggle it all and keep reading as much as I wanted. It’s like that sometimes. You never know what the year is going to bring you when you make these kinds of goals. This year, I knocked my goal down to 85, partially because I want to read longer books, but also to give myself room for other things without feeling like I’m failing at something. I hope 2018 is an easier year for you overall. 🙂

Oh, I actually read some of these 🙂 I binge read a ton of Penny Reid books this year and I am very excited for her books coming out this year. I also read Twist by Kylie Scott, which I thought was pretty good.
Good luck meeting your goal this year 🙂 I hope most your reads are 5 stars!
