My Top 5 Netflix Shows of 2017

Netflix debuted over 1,000 hours of original content in 2017. It spent around $6 billion on original content for 2017 and has already announced it will spend $8 billion in original content this year.

Here’s my Top 5 Netflix shows that I just can’t get enough of right now! Although I’m the worlds biggest book person, I still love to sit down and watch some TV. Usually Myself and my husband like to watch certain shows together. Which is a great way to set up time to spend with each other. On of the most surprising shows for me was The Crown. We watched season 1 & 2 over the Christmas holidays and I was blown away. I couldn’t believe how much I enjoyed it! The amount of googling we did while watching this show was funny! Mindhunter was another big favourite with both of us.

Catching a criminal often requires the authorities to get inside the villain’s mind to figure out how he thinks. That’s the job of FBI agents Holden Ford and Bill Tench. They attempt to understand and catch serial killers by studying their damaged psyches. Along the way, the agents pioneer the development of modern serial-killer profiling. The crime drama has a strong pedigree behind the camera, with Oscar-nominated director David Fincher and Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron among the show’s executive producers

Based on an award-winning play (“The Audience”) by show-runner Peter Morgan, this lavish, Netflix-original drama chronicles the life of Queen Elizabeth II (Claire Foy) from the 1940s to modern times. The series begins with an inside look at the early reign of the queen, who ascended the throne at age 25 after the death of her father, King George VI. As the decades pass, personal intrigues, romances, and political rivalries are revealed that played a big role in events that shaped the later years of the 20th century.

  1. Stranger Things is so good! 😀 I’m still chiseling away at season 2 since it’s been hard to squeeze in the time to watch it, but I’m loving it so far. 🙂
I’d love to check out Glow sometime, too. Nice list!

  2. I couldn’t agree more about Stranger things and the Crown being one of the top 5 shows on netflix right now. I absolutely adored the Crown, it was actually surprising. I never knew I was into British royalty but it seems netflix has a strange way of getting you into things you never knew you liked. I’m gonna take you up on that mindhunter recommendation just because it does sound awesome! thanks 🙂

  3. You gotta watch the show “Dark”! It’s a German Netflix original that is kind of similar to Stranger Things but is way darker, more mature and better. It’s one of the best shows I’ve seen in a long time
