I was so looking forward to this book but yes kind of dreading it as well. I’m a huge fan of Fraser’s and I absolutely loved the King series and even though I knew it was time to end although Frazier has said that she may go back, I was apprehensive about a new series. Sometimes with your favourite Author and new series it can be disastrous but thank god that was not the case of this book. The outskirts was fantastic and even though it ended in a cliffhanger I was OK with that I’m OK with waiting a little while for the next edition in this series. It’s going to give me time to digest this part of the story and maybe even reread it. We hopefully won’t have long to wait for the next installments as Frazier has said that it would be out soon and this is a bit of a relief.
So to recap yes this book was amazing and I highly recommend giving it a read. If you’re not too pushed on cliffhangers give it a couple of months until the next installment is out and you can read the two together. I also recommended if you haven’t read the King’s series to get on that. Fraziers style of writing is so fresh and enjoyable she’s not afraid to get into nitty gritty but then she has such a great story-line to go along with that nitty gritty. She is definitely one of my favourite authors.
