Jaxon Trent is the worst kind of temptation and exactly what K.C. was supposed to stay away from in high school. But he never forgot her. She was the one girl who wouldn’t give him the time of day and the only one to ever say no. Fate has brought K.C. back into his life—except what he thought was a great twist of luck turns out to be too close for comfort.  5 Heart-breaking Stars on Goodreads

Read from January 23 to 24, 2017

I loved the previous books in this series, but Falling Away blew my mind!! I loved it! I love Penelope Douglas’s writing. She tells amazing stories and I love her style of writing.  I felt all the emotions that she breathed into Jax and K.C, so of her chapters killed me with the emotions and Jax’s story just gutted me. I cried a little not gonna lie.

The more you suffered, the more you survived. It shaped people in different ways, and what broke one person could empower another.

K.C. and Jax’s flashbacks are heart-breaking, it’s hard to read but yet you can’t put it down and that’s how good Penelope writes these scenes. I highly recommend picking up this series!
