So I went into this with no clue about what this book was about. I saw bella’s name on the release and went yep love me some of Bella’s books and would read anything she writes. I also didn’t realise that this would be a 2 part story. Again I said feck it let me read it….
So where to start, this is a story about Julietta and how she meets Rafael Lencioni, not knowing that he is in fact head of the mafia. I don’t normally read mafia books. I’ve only read a few and yes the few I’ve read have been good. This was no exception. I ended up eating it up and loved it.
“There are only two rules, Julietta.”
“And those are?” I say, looking up at him.
“Don’t fall in love with me and don’t ever, under any circumstances, mention who I am or what I do.”
“That’s it?” I say, skeptical.
“And obviously I ask that you do not communicate with my wife for her respect.”
Needless to say Julie doesn’t follow Raf’s rules and things go to shit! And it ends in a big cliffhanger! I can’t wait for part 2 and we have been assured it wont be long out.
