Catch Up On March Reads

So that’s the end of March. Wow, where did the month go? Is it just me or is this year flying by so fast! I had so much going on this month but with that aside I managed to read 6 books this month and I was delighted with myself. My reading challenge, that I have set up through Goodreads is going so well. I’m nearly half way though and we’re only a third of the way through the year.

Here are my reads from March:

  • Soulless by TM Frazer – Read from 29th of Feb  – 2nd of March ★★★★☆
  • Major Misconduct by Kelly Jamieson – Read from 3rd to 5th of March ★★☆☆☆
  • Consumed by Skyla Madi – Read from 6th to 7th of March ★★★☆☆
  • Miles Away by Addison Kline – Read from 8th to 10th of March ★★★☆ ☆
  • Sugar Daddy by Sawyer Bennett – Read from 15th to 24th of March ★★★☆ ☆
  • Drifter by Bella Jewel – Read from 21st – 22nd of March  ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆

My top two Favorites this month:

Soulless by T.M. Frazier  Soulless by TM Frazer, I loved this book and it was a great ending to this series. If you haven’t gotten into T.M  Frazer, I’d highly recommend picking up one of her books and getting lost in her dark romantic world. You wont look back. You can chcek out my full review here.

Drifter by Bella Jewel Drifer by Bella Jewel, This second edition  to Bella’s  Mc Sinners Next Generation series, oh what a book. I hadn’t realized this book was going to be about Mercedes and Diesel. It was a good surprise though. I just want to point out straight of the bat I LOVE Diesel! Diesel is Mack’s son from Jokers Wrath series and Mercedes is Spike’s daughter from MC Sinners series. Check out my review here.

What did you read this month and what was one of your top reads? Look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Oldie but a Goody Wednesday

I’ve read so many good books along the years and realized recently that maybe not everyone would have fallen upon certain authors. I thought this was a pity, So I though that over the next few weeks I’d post a few Oldies but a goody and see what people. Let me know if you agree with my choices or if you didn’t. The’re are so many great authors out there so it would be a pity if they where missed!

I know when I come across an author, either from Goodreads or from a friend’s recommendation I get so excited. So hopefully maybe over the next few weeks I might surprise you with a goody.

She hatches a plot to scupper the engagement, urging the whole family to do everything in their power to encourage a break-up. She even ropes in Will Sargent, manager of ultra-cool rock band Walking Wounded, and unrequited love of Kate’s life, in the hope that she can lure Kate away from Brian.

Reluctantly Will offers Kate a job as chef for Walking Wounded, and whisks her off to Tuscany for the summer, where they are working on their new album.

As temperatures in the kitchen begin to heat up, will Kate’s feelings for Will be rekindled – or will she decide Brian really is the man for her?

Review: Major Misconduct by Kelly Jamieson

Major Misconduct (Aces Hockey, #1)
Major Misconduct (Aces Hockey #1) by Kelly Jamieson
Release Date: 13/10/15
In Kelly Jamieson’s seductive new Chicago Aces romance—perfect for readers of Sawyer Bennett and Toni Aleo—a fun-loving free spirit tempts an uptight hockey star into opening himself up to love.
As the captain of the Chicago Aces, Marc Dupuis is all business. The apartment he shares with his teammate and best friend, Duncan, is a refuge from the pressures of fame. But when the sexiest woman he’s ever seen interrupts his early morning coffee wearing only a skimpy cami and matching panties, Marc can’t exactly say he minds. Their chemistry is off the charts. Unfortunately, this girl’s no random puck bunny. She’s Duncan’s little sister—and she’s moving in.

Lovey Armstrong could stare at Marc’s chiseled abs and listen to his French-Canadian accent all day. She just has no idea what’s going on inside his head: When he’s not charming her pants off, Marc makes a Zamboni machine seem warm and cuddly. Lovey knows the team’s bro code says no messing with sisters, but all these mixed messages are hard on a girl’s self-esteem—especially since she’s finally getting her new life together in Chicago. She decides he’s worth another shot . . . because if anyone can melt the ice around Marc’s heart, it’s Lovey.
2.5 slow paced Stars on Goodreads, Read from March 3rd to 5th 2016
Ok so over all I did enjoy this read by Kelly Jamieson, However there where a few things that wrecked my head about the main characters.

Marc was boring and kinda a wimp for a big hotshot hockey player!
Lovey just needed to get her head out of her arse and stand up for herself with her brother. some of their conversations really bothered me.

Another thing about Kelly’s style of writing, she went into so much detail about things that didn’t need so much detail this made parts a little boring for me.
In saying all this I will probably read the next book in the series.

Review: Drifter by Bella Jewel

Drifter (MC Sinners Next Generation, #2)

Title: Drifter

Series: MC Sinners Next Generation #2

Author: Bella Jewel

Release Date: March 21, 2016

They say opposites attract.

In my world that isn’t a good thing.

I did everything I could to escape the motorcycle club I grew up in when I turned twenty-one.

It wasn’t about fear, or betrayal, or even lack of love.

I just needed my own life.

I had to know how it felt to stand on my own two feet without their protection.

Then I met Diesel.

Mysterious, dark, with eyes that screamed to be understood.

From the second I met him, I knew I needed to be in his life.

There’s just one problem – he’s a member of a different motorcycle club.

Two things that should never be combined.

Yet I can’t stay away. No matter how hard he pushes. I can see beyond his mask.

I need to know who he is and I’ll overcome any obstacle to be in his life.

A friendship is born, followed by an epic love.

Our relationship is forbidden.

But I’ll do anything to be in his life.

4 I forget to breathe Stars on Goodreads, Read from March 21-22, 2016

I hadn’t realized this book was going to be about Mercedes and Diesel. It was a good surprise though. I just want to point out straight of the bat I LOVE Diesel! Diesel is Mack’s son from Jokers Wrath series and Mercedes is Spike’s daughter from MC Sinners series

Diesel was dark and so adorable, although that might not be the right word to describe him. I just Couldn’t help but think it thought out this book!

“Girls like you will never work with guys like me. I’m dark; it’s in my soul. You’re light; I saw it the first time I met you. You’re the kind of light that could fix my dark, but I can’t let that happen. I can’t take the chance that I might ruin you.”

Mercedes had some set of balls on her and was just not afraid to speak her mind and at times I cringed and went “uh no girl don’t say that” But on the order hand it was entertaining.

As always with Bella Jewel I loved this book and in my eyes she can do no wrong! If you like Mc Books this is for you! If you haven’t read any Mc Books, you need to get yourself a Bella Jewel book!
