Our Summer of IVF

We started our first round of IVF the end of June. Going into it I know I wasn’t prepared mentally, I had been worrying too much beforehand about being physically prepared I hadn’t even really thought about anything else. We got our medicines a few weeks before and I went into our clinic to see a nurse to go through needles and injections. This appointment lasted maybe 5 minutes and to be honest coming out of it I was more nervous than ever. I was lucky Dave wanted to be involved with the injections. He wanted this to be his way of being involved with the process and if I’m being honest it was a load of my mind that he would be doing them. The day of our first injection, I think we were both a nervous wreck and probably watched about a half an hour of how to do IVF injections on YouTube! What would we do without YouTube!! The Taboo of IVF….

I’ve been thinking about writing about this for a while. I’ve caught myself starting this and then stopping so many times over the last few weeks wondering if maybe I shouldn’t talk about it. That’s why I’ve decided to bite the bullet and go for it. I’m going to tell you a about the start of our journey with IVF.

IVF is such a taboo topic with a lot of people. I can understand why people don’t want to talk about it, but I just don’t think I’m that person. I’m generally a very open person. I also can’t lie for shit… A good quality i think. Continue reading

August 2017 Wrap Up!

Again another god awful month for me personal and I’m suprised I got what reading I did do, done! But I got a good few great reads in before things started going to crap.
